The Tobacco Free Network of Oswego County, established in 1999, is a community-based coalition committed to reducing the human and social toll of tobacco use in Oswego County.  The Network's efforts are supported by funding from the New York State Department of Health Tobacco Control Program.

Tobacco Free Network utilizes local outreach opportunities with community members at events, interventions with decision makers, and media to achieve the following goals:

-eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke

- decrease the social acceptability of tobacco use

- reduce tobacco displays in our local retail environments

- create greater access to tobacco-free parks and playgrounds

- prevent the initiation of tobacco use among youth and young adults

- promote cessation from tobacco use and the NYS Smoker's Quitline
